Elvis Presley - cover. After visiting my Elvis Presley folder Philo asked me if I had the intention of recording ''In the ghetto"'. It had never crossed my mind to record this song, but especially for Philo, here it is. I added some extra backing vocals, because I had to change the key of the backing track. Philo, I hope you like it.

  Dear Alie, this is really nice of you, and a big honour that you wished to do a record immediately, we know each other onlyone day! Thank you. This is a song, which always gave me a stone in my throat. Your voice is so suitable to perform this song. I believe that, should you attend a (mixed) choir, you have to stand in the male section.You sound a bit male, with a slight touch of a woman's voice, it is not only  sexy but very soulful. And you have power too.("way down" is a song in which Elvis indeed goes very, very, lowwwww...)  I think that Elvis would be very pleased to hear this. You got to have the rightvoice and soul/spirit to perform this song. After all. Elvis and many of his songsare legends, and people are very used to hear that certain sound. And I think that a lot of people will love this performance, too. It is a great job. APPLAUSE Thank you, very, very much.
