While vacationing on Assateague Island, VA, we were having dinner at the marina when the evening sunset caught my eye. I think when you least expect it, a photo op lurks right behind you. I've started taking my camera with me just about everywhere. This little piece of "photo-art" was made with the pen-and-ink filter in Photoshop.

I've been going through some old photo CD's I made and found this one from a vacation trip we made to Okracoke Island, NC in 2004. This little mallard family was living in the Salt Marsh, just behind the dunes near the ocean front.

My own Kayak now hangs in the garage ... hasn't been used in a few years now. Since my heart surgery, I can no longer risk the shock of cold water. I stood on the bank and took this shot of a fellow kayaker having lots of fun in the river nearby.
