The Way to Succeed - and the Way to Suck Eggs!

I uploaded the album to Mediafire which means that you don't need to download each song separately anymore, because you can download the whole album at once in a .zip-archive. (Windows - at least XP and Vista - should be able to extract .zip's with it's on-board unzipping-tool. If not, just download 7-Zip, WinRAR or a similiar program).

(just wait till the "click here to start download"-thing comes up and then click on it to start the download)

Again, I managed to record an album in less than 24 hours. This challenge inspired me to do this. I think this could (and should) also be done here on Esnips. Even more so, as there are a lot of very talented & prolific artists in the music communities.
The rules are, that you make an album that has at least 30 minutes of original material. And most importantly the whole recording process has to be done in 24 hours. If you don't have the time to record the the album in one continuous session than you can distribute your 24 hours over another timespan. You just need to do the recording, mixing, mastering, whatever in less than 24 hours. This includes the production of the artwork (if there is any).
But remember: There is nothing to win, except the right to say: "I have made an album in 24 hours". Also, there will be no "1st place","2nd place" and so on. So if you are only willing to do this for the "fame", look somewhere else.
By the way, I found a cool time-tracking tool called TrackaMinute. It's a free program and it really helped me to keep track of the time I needed to record this little album.
This time, I managed to persuade a virtual drummer to help me out on a few tracks. He is very talented and skillful, but unfortunately, he has that split-personality thing going on. One minute he thinks he is the reincarnation of Keith Moon and the next one he believes he is the drummer of the band Pelican. His real name is Henry Jamstix, though. At least that’s what he told me on the phone the day before we met.
So I had to do a lot of cut and paste work with Audacity in order to capture only his best moments. Unfortunately, when he saw what I did to his drumparts, he went into some kind of epileptic-shock. After his episode, he got really angry at me and shouted “ Nyu, Nyu, Nyu!” at me over and over again. By then it was quite clear to me that he apparently lost his ability to express himself in understandable speech. “Nyu” seemed to be the only word he could say anymore. After that he simply ran away and I don’t think I will ever see him again. Too bad, because I love to have some drumming on my tracks…

| This time, even though this album was recorded in less than 24 hrs - as was "Alien Reproduction Vehicle" - I am extremely happy with the results. I really put a lot of effort in it and it never veers off into guitar-wanking territory (now, have I used real guitars? Actually, no! But I like to imagine I have...and in these times the simulacrum is as good as the real thing. Even more so, when you can't hear the difference.)
That said, there are less guitars on this one. |

| This is the most uplifting sounding thing I've done in ages. Seen this way, this track is really quite an achiement...
Other than that it features an almost cheesy melody. Again, something I don't do with my tracks very often, even though I should (as somebody said to me, some songs off the first Flux album have no melody - he is right! But I did that deliberately. As with this album, things are a little different, though). |

| It sounds exactly like I have intended it to sound like: lot's of doom & gloom and random crazyness. I also have some industrial elements thrown in for good measure. |

| This track starts quiet, undergoes chaos and then fades out into eternity. |
