Poetry and Spoken Word
I am, first of all, a poet, above everything else. I've been writing since I can remember. It was my way of dealing with life. I shared it with no one. I only used it as an outlet. My written words became known to others strictly by accident, and when I seen that I can capture someone elses attention and lead them to feel a story that I lived, I knew God gave me a gift.

This song is definitely one from deep within my heart. I feel that I have been destined to do something like this for quite some time. Please read the lyrics as you listen as I have also posted them along with this. I hope that no one labels me as a "wannabe" or anything like that. Creativity when it comes from the heart has no limitations.

A War No One Wins .mp3
This is something new I just created. You may need to turn it up a bit because the recorder I used seems a bit low. This is the first thing I've recorded in such a long time. Again I have to admit the instrumental backing inspired the lyrics. Maybe they have been there all along and this was the tool I needed to allow them to surface, who knows?

When you're a writer you tend to put it all out there, your heart and soul. I don't think at anytime has anyone been confused about the person I am through my poetry or songs, but, I think this one was written for more of a clarification for myself. It's raw and simple, and we all know who we are and who we aren't.
