cold cold night.wav
i wrote this thinking of the blasters... as usual for me, shaky, rhythm-heavy timing, rushed & primitive production, energy that to me feels right & correct. recorded jun 08.

bride of frankenstein.wma
a song for all hallow's eve - scratch recording for band. therefore, the empty lumbering mid section will be filled w/rockin' cramps-style guitar when the band performs it & the part w/dialogue from the film will be voiced by males (except the bride's scream, which will be me, if i still have a voice). recorded sept 08.

fa-do-do by jenny angel oneman band.wma
am guilty of doing stuff too much on the fly. but this had the right joy, i thought, & the drums were so fun to play. i liked the sound of "fa-do-do," & when i looked it up, found that a fadodo is the crying room at a cajun dance. cajuns, correct me if this is wrong. :) i lke the niceness of the definition, tho. it could've been a synonym for iko-iko, after all. recorded spring 08.

big boy by jenny angel.wma
a song for fatty chasers. it has to me a sort of flatulent sound, like cornfed dames or other cramps or little richard songs. in your imagination, please supply other instruments. recorded sometime in 06-07.

life on mars by jenny angel oneman band.wma
blasters meet hank ballard = x, maybe... a songs for the ddevils that we won't be doing. i think it would work if my band were more punk. i like my bateman-manquee drumming. :) vocals/piano recorded in unison w/one mike, which is why singing sounds so thin. recorded spring 08.

matter of time by jenny angel.wma
wanted this to sound big and fruity/lush/operatic, kind of like orbison. but phil said it sounds like the andrews sisters. and the drums sound like disco. aaaaaahhh! this is what i hear listening two years after recording this... still like the lyrics, tho. recorded spring 06.
